[There's the sound of a pencil tapping against a piece of paper. Someone's stuck trying to do a school assignment when he really doesn't want to. School's...pretty much the last thing on his mind at the moment. Instead, he's been listening to the various voices and messages over the network about what's been going on outside. It's unnerving is what it is, but it doesn't stop him from asking the real question on his mind.]

...so, what does it take to get chosen to head out there and fight? And even if there isn't an answer, what do you think?

Also, SOS Brigade. Report in, tell me your progress on things. [Yes, purposely vague. Somebody hasn't been taking his role as President very serious lately.]

[Yeah, good member this one. Hopefully Taichi will be used to Kurt being like this now, since he started attending all meetings as his true self a few days ago.]

...well, that's a start. Keep doing it, start bringing people with you if you can. You have friends, right? [Taichi barely blinks an eye at strange things anymore. Clearly it just makes Kurt ten times cooler.]

You're new to the job, yeah? How do we know you'd pick people that Haruki would have?

Because Haruki trusted me enough to put me in this kind of position. Why wouldn't I pick the people he would have?

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. [But weren't you pretty much third in line? And didn't even get promoted when Usagi was sent home? Hm.]

...of course it doesn't seem right. The SOS Brigade is always going to be his club no matter who the President is. I just wonder if they'll let him come back someday.

I don't know why they wouldn't, but you never know who will show up...

Let's just hope they're people we want to show up. Maybe...maybe I'll hold off on recruitment for now.
