gogglesyndrome: (Huh I dunno)
[Taichi is currently up in his tree house. Yes, the same tree house he created years ago. He's sitting in the middle of it, surrounded by his usual favorites. Comics, manga, junk food, pillows, drawings of the Digimon...

...and yet, he's finding himself not quite as satisfied as usual. No, the longer he stays in the tree house, the...lamer it actually becomes. It's not a new feeling, but being alone and surrounded by everything really puts it into perspective. This seemed a lot cooler when he first arrived to Luceti; it was a place to hide out, spy on the village and pretend he was a ninja. But the comics have been read, the junk food is old, and without people to throw the pillows at they were just taking up space.

He flops over onto his back to stare at the ceiling, stretching his legs out. His toes hit the wall of the tree house though and his knees end up bending awkwardly. He shifts to sit up a little, trying to accommodate his body the extra space. He grumbles, laying back again and just pulling his feet in to bend his knees entirely. Fine. Stupid legs. Normally it's not a big deal and he can ignore it, but today it's kind of uncomfortable. He grabs his journal and opens it, flipping through it to see what's going on. He debates verbally speaking to the village, but decides against it, grabbing a pen and scrawling out a message.]

I wonder how weird it's going to be going home after all this time.
My voice sounds really stupid lately.
I wish Yamato was here so it wasn't just me. Or even Haruki to lie and say it gets easier.
I don't know if I just outgrew things or I'm depressed. But I don't get depressed.
You'd think I'd be growing some facial hair or something by now.

...hey. I've got a huge stash of comic books and manga up here if anybody wants them. I don't think I need them anymore.

Other than that? I've got nothin'.

[ooc: strikes are about half-readable.]
gogglesyndrome: (Plotting here)
[Even though it's Saturday, Taichi's sitting out in front of the school with several of the maps of the village that he took from the welcome center. He has his journal open, but he seems to be hard at work instead with a blue marker in his hand, hovering over some of the maps and marking them with lines and circles. He also has placed three pebbles on each of the maps to move them around in the paths he's creating.

He should be doing Brigade stuff, but this is clearly more important. After a bit, he crumples up the map he's currently working on and tosses it into the slowly-growing pile next to him.]

Man. When the heck did the village get to be so big? [Annnd back to another map to try plan B. Come bother him?]
gogglesyndrome: (Haruki and Taichi)
[Give it a few moments before the journal clicks on, and suddenly there's a loud booming voice amplified more than usual]

Okay hey, listen up! Mikage, Al, Naoki and Atsuro, report to House 48! Haruki put me in charge for advertising, and I've got everything already planned. Move it!

Oh, and Hanyuu, you're supposed to help too and I've got a special assignment for you. Report to House 48 right away.

And everybody else, get ready for the best thing ever! The SOS Brigade's taking applications for new members. You know you wanna join, what are you waiting for? Seriously, just do it already!

[Edit: Anybody in House 48, feel free to threadjack each other as well.]
gogglesyndrome: (Plotting here)
[Taichi's been made well-aware of the people that have come into the village, but he's not too concerned. He hasn't seen any duplicates of himself, nor has he seen any of his friends, so why worry, right?

Exactly. So instead he's decided the best course of action is to make a snowfort and he's currently hiding inside of it with a huge pile of snowballs, waiting to find innocent people to throw them at. Ridiculous child is ridiculous. Never mind the fact the top of his bird nest hair is probably sticking out.

So, do you get hit? Or do you bust him before he can throw one?]
gogglesyndrome: (invincible)
Huh...so what, they're giving us a break? Amusement parks can't be bad, at least I don't think they can.

Awesome!

Guys we're going whether you want to or not, but why would you not want to? Get ready to go!

[Taichi's currently racing through town trying to get back to House 48 so he can get ready to go to the park with Hikari, Yamato, and Agumon. Caution: hyperactive eleven-year-old is hard to stop when he's bulldozing his way through.]
gogglesyndrome: (it's cool)
[Today, instead of being in school like he probably should be, Taichi's standing outside by the side wall of House 48 with a few buckets of paint at his feet and a paintbrush in his hand. Currently he's putting on the finishing touches of what looks like an orange dinosaur in armor on the wall next to a few symbols that were already there. As soon as he's finished with the dinosaur he's going to be rinsing out his brush and start on a small white cat with huge greenish gloves and a purple-striped tail. Granted the paintings are a little messy since he's not an artist, but it's the effort that counts.

What will you do?]
gogglesyndrome: (relaxing)
[Even though he didn't really want to leave the house, Taichi knew he had to go find Yamato so after an entire morning and afternoon racing around the village looking for his best friend, Taichi ended up back at Chosen house. Disappointed in himself and fairly distraught that they really did take Yamato, Taichi doesn't even bother going inside and he just flops down into his hammock, curling up in it and half-closing his eyes just in case Yamato comes back. Anybody doing patrols or checking on the kids is free to find him still in that position even after several hours]
gogglesyndrome: (evening glow)
[Seeing how Yamato or someone probably picked up his goggles, headband, and journal, Taichi's walking through town at a pretty slow pace, hair flopping in his eyes and hands at his sides. He doesn't look too terrible, he's got a few bumps scrapes and bruises and he looks like he hasn't slept the whole time he was gone but he's alive. He honestly isn't paying attention to where he's going, he's mostly on auto-pilot toward his house. Feel free to find him on the way back]
gogglesyndrome: (fight like a mon!)
[After his discussion with Raine the other day, Taichi decided it wouldn't hurt just to be a kid for once. So today even though it's blazing hot, he's running around at the south soccer field he found that one time during his soccer club, running up and down the field and just doing drills. His journal's off to the side, along with his headband and his goggles. The journal's open though in case precious-baby-sister or Yamato or well, anybody really needed him.

However, there's a swift movement followed by a loud thud and a pop of the ball deflating]

Wha-hey! I'm not afraid of you!

[and then, nothing.]
gogglesyndrome: (lookit what I found!)
Hey guys if you see a little kitten with wings wandering around the village, be careful with her okay? She's tiny and needs to be safe. She's staying with us so um, guys, I adopted a cat!

Hey Yamato, it's August first! I'm coming back to the house right now, so get them ready for you-know-what, okay?

[Anybody walking through town will see Taichi heading back for Chosen House weighed down with kitten supplies and some other food, along with a couple of cans of frosting and some cans of paint. Feel free to stop him and ask why he has all of that]
gogglesyndrome: (I'll give my courage wings)
Private, about 20% Unhackable )

[currently Taichi's up in his tree house again and doodling in the margins of his flowchart in the journal. When he speaks, he still sounds a little sniffly from his headcold but for the most part he's better]

I'm glad it's not raining anymore, it was starting to get really boring just sleeping all day. And Hikari's doing better too which is really good.

But now what? If it were summer vacation at home, I'd probably be at my apartment playing video games and watching TV with my friends, but those don't exist here or something. If we weren't doing that, Mom and Dad would probably take us to go visit my grandma and if we weren't doing that, I'd probably be playing outside. Soccer went over really good here but it's not the same, exactly. Last summer I went to camp...sorta. That didn't last too long before we ended up in the Digital World.

...wonder how they're doing anyway. I miss Agumon...well, all of them, but you know. It's really weird being without him after so long. It's also really weird just trying to be a kid again. Not impossible, just...weird.

So hey, what's everybody's favorite thing to do in the summer? Maybe I can get some new ideas or something.
gogglesyndrome: (run like the wind)
This is what Taichi's posting all around town )

[Taichi's busy running around Luceti with a stack of these fliers, pinning them anywhere he can because well, today seems like a good day to get started with the soccer team and he's bored anyway. After this last experiment seems like people could use a pick-me-up. So, that's what he's doing now, feel free to run into him (or have him literally run into you, whichever) as he's going around advertising]

[ooc: depending on vote, we can either assume that this whole soccer-club thing happened, or I can start a log and anybody can jump in and we'll do it that way, however every/anybody wants to go about it. Also the list is slightly outdated so if I missed anybody who talked to him about it before, sorry!]
gogglesyndrome: (never give up!)
[One can assume that when Tear pulled Taichi's body from under the burnt treehouse, she set him in the back yard of house #48 rather than in the middle of nowhere and he's been there for a few days. But today, there's suddenly the sound of loud choked coughing as he tries to clear smoke from his lungs along with a few gasps of air. It stops after a few moments and there's a few sounds of the boy struggling to stand up on his own before a flop on the ground as he just lays on the ground. Though not as bad as he was when he first died, there are a few burns marking up his body and the feathers of his wings have been burnt up pretty bad too]

...what?
gogglesyndrome: (You've gotta be kidding me!)
[Early in the morning, Taichi's wandered to the back of House #48 after searching the rest of town and his own tree house. He sits on the ground and more than anything, he sounds frustrated]

DAMN IT, NOT AGAIN!

[Yeah, guess who just discovered his little sister got sent back, again. Feel free to say anything]

[ooc: I've been posting with him so much, sorry]
gogglesyndrome: (Sleepy)
[as mentioned to a few different people, Taichi has finished building his treehouse in the forest and so today he's lounging around in there pretty pleased with himself. Laying on the floor of his treehouse with his hand dangling out the door, he has his eyes lightly shut]

Sometimes I wonder if it's a good idea knowing the future. Sure a lot of bad stuff happens but I already know that we're going to win. Daisuke gave me a sum-up. But now Izzy's here too and he's older too. What gives? Oh well, at least I know I'm still the leader!

And at least I don't have to worry if I get into a good high school or not. And I definitely don't have to worry about looking stupid in the school uniform haha. I wonder if future-me has a girlfriend...I bet I get one before Yamato! Girls love athletes instead of stupid harmonicas.

Seeing Izzy here makes me sort of miss being home though. It's an improvement of the Digital World, that's for sure. Here we don't have to worry about making camp and where our next meal's coming from and running away from giant monsters. But...let's see. If it's May already, and I was at camp in August, and I got here right as I was leaving the Digital World in Earth's time frame of August, then that means I've been away from home for ten months? No wait, that's not right. Man this whole time thing's completely out of whack, why can't time just be normal?!

Maybe my friends don't even notice I'm gone. The other Chosen will, they have to, but my school friends and the soccer club, I wonder if they do. And Mom and Dad, they've got to still be worried about me and 'Kari especially since we didn't come home from the Digital World.

But I guess there's really no need to worry about it...I'm sure the others are doing just fine. Izzy said they were...they're capable of taking care of themselves. Maybe the Malnosso will bring everybody else in. I hope not, because that would kind of suck, but then at least we'd be together and could work on getting out of here. Oh well. For now, I'll just enjoy the sun while it's around.

At least that's the same as home.

[[ooc: just as a small clarification, Taichi's referred to Koushiro as Koushiro to other people out of respect for his friend but when it's just him talking to himself/actually to the redhead he'll refer to him as Izzy as a sign of friendship. Same concept of people referring to him as Tai versus Taichi the more they know him.]]
gogglesyndrome: (invincible)
Private from Hikari )

[As per usual, Taichi's up in his usual tree in the forest, lounging around lazily. Today however he's got his Digivice he found in one of the shops and he's toying with it, despite the fact that it doesn't actually work here.]

Man, these experiments keep getting weirder and weirder. What's next? I'm just glad they only last a week though.

So hey, the barcodes on the back of our necks...I guess they're meant for tracking devices but what if they were actually used for prices? What kind of item do you guys think you'd be?
gogglesyndrome: (Break)
[it's been about a week and Taichi's back in his same tree, being even more watchful than last time]

If anybody's seen a girl with short brown hair and brown eyes, about twelve years old in the past week, let me know okay? I need to know and I need to find her, she's my sister and I have to make sure...I can't believe this is happening.

At least they're all safe and out of here. They're better off. I'll find a way home soon, I have to.

Hikari, if you can hear me somehow, wait for me okay?

[ooc: this...is a lot like his last post yes but after Hikari was dropped I felt it was PRETTY important that Taichi noticed and reacted]
gogglesyndrome: (Sad)
[Even though Taichi has his own room and everything, he's been spending the last few days up in one of the trees in the forest keeping a watchful eye out, leaning back against the branches and looking down]

Daisuke...and Takeru too. They're both gone now.

I can't believe I let them disappear.
gogglesyndrome: (let's go)
[well some of the residents in Luceti might notice Taichi standing at the edge of the village, mini-telescope in hand and staring out at the mountains with an excited grin on his face.]

Awesome, today's the perfect day to go out and climb those mountains! [he pockets the telescope and stretches his arms over his head, looking back at the village slightly impatient] As soon as Daisuke and Hikari get here we can go. Hurry up guys, I wanna get going before the sun starts to go down!

Oh and Daisuke, you can bring V-Mon and Hikari, Takeru said he was busy with school and couldn't join us so it looks like it's just the three of us now.

But it might just be me if you guys don't hurry up and get here! Let's go!

[And so, Taichi begins to pace back and forward waiting for his sister and his friend. Anybody passing by in the village is free to talk to him before he leaves on his adventure]
