[as mentioned to a few different people, Taichi has finished building his treehouse in the forest and so today he's lounging around in there pretty pleased with himself. Laying on the floor of his treehouse with his hand dangling out the door, he has his eyes lightly shut]

Sometimes I wonder if it's a good idea knowing the future. Sure a lot of bad stuff happens but I already know that we're going to win. Daisuke gave me a sum-up. But now Izzy's here too and he's older too. What gives? Oh well, at least I know I'm still the leader!

And at least I don't have to worry if I get into a good high school or not. And I definitely don't have to worry about looking stupid in the school uniform haha. I wonder if future-me has a girlfriend...I bet I get one before Yamato! Girls love athletes instead of stupid harmonicas.

Seeing Izzy here makes me sort of miss being home though. It's an improvement of the Digital World, that's for sure. Here we don't have to worry about making camp and where our next meal's coming from and running away from giant monsters. But...let's see. If it's May already, and I was at camp in August, and I got here right as I was leaving the Digital World in Earth's time frame of August, then that means I've been away from home for ten months? No wait, that's not right. Man this whole time thing's completely out of whack, why can't time just be normal?!

Maybe my friends don't even notice I'm gone. The other Chosen will, they have to, but my school friends and the soccer club, I wonder if they do. And Mom and Dad, they've got to still be worried about me and 'Kari especially since we didn't come home from the Digital World.

But I guess there's really no need to worry about it...I'm sure the others are doing just fine. Izzy said they were...they're capable of taking care of themselves. Maybe the Malnosso will bring everybody else in. I hope not, because that would kind of suck, but then at least we'd be together and could work on getting out of here. Oh well. For now, I'll just enjoy the sun while it's around.

At least that's the same as home.

[[ooc: just as a small clarification, Taichi's referred to Koushiro as Koushiro to other people out of respect for his friend but when it's just him talking to himself/actually to the redhead he'll refer to him as Izzy as a sign of friendship. Same concept of people referring to him as Tai versus Taichi the more they know him.]]

Yeah, I guess that's true. The last time I disappeared they told me.

[that's because Minato's very secretive. So yes, for the best]

Not exactly. It was more like...there was a time where I got sucked into this portal that sent me and Koromon back to Earth while all of my friends were stuck in the Digital World. I was only in Japan for a few hours but that's like a million years in the Digital World so everything was being wrecked and they couldn't figure out where I went.

[yeah not much startles him anymore]

Nope. Well, that's a lie. After I came back the first time, we were allowed to go home a second time but it was because we had to find the eighth Chosen Child, which actually turned out to be my little sister but we didn't know it at the time. After that though we couldn't return home once we got back or the world would be doomed.

Yeah but it was something we had to do...the Digital World needed us and we were the ones who saw the first fight back in Japan when we were little. We couldn't have said no even if we wanted to. Well, that's not true, Mimi and Jyou said no a lot at first, and Takeru cried most of the time but we got used to it.

[yeah well =( He thinks Minato's too young to go get himself killed for sacrifice]

In general? Save the Digital World from well...first we thought it was just saving it from Vademon, then we realized there were four Dark Masters we had to fight so we had to stop them too otherwise the Digital World would be consumed with evil or something like that.

[but still.]

Our Digimon partners helped us. We had to be there to help them evolve and when they evolved they got stronger to protect us and fight.

[but how old was Ken =\?]

We couldn't really. Digimon are made of data. Only data can fight data or something. I don't know, Koushiro could explain it better. We just spent a lot of time running.

[...why do all of these stories deal with little kids, wtf.]

Well...when we first got there, what really helped them evolve was whenever we were in danger of being attacked and hurt. When we first met them, they were in their training stage. Koromon was just this bouncy talking head thing. But then on the first day we got there we got attacked by this huge monster so all of the Digimon evolved to their rookie stage. Koromon became Agumon. Then later that day we were attacked again only the monster grabbed me and was attempting to squeeze my guts out and Agumon evolved to Greymon to stop him. Over time all seven of them evolved into their Champion stage to help protect us.

But then we realized there was another stage but we needed these things called crests. Basically they were these tags that embodied our specific traits. I found my first, the crest of courage. The crests were used to help evolve them from champion to ultimate. We all had one. But Yamato and I, our crests allowed Agumon and Gabumon to evolve to WarGreyMon and MetalGarurumon.

Later we found out that we didn't actually need the crests and the power they had we had in ourselves all along and that's what helped us win the final fight with Apocalymon at the very end. We thought it was hopeless because he completely destroyed our crests and the Digimon couldn't evolve but once we figured out we had the power, they evolved and kicked Apocalymon's ass!

Basically...without us, they didn't had a reason to evolve. It was the bond between us that helped.

Oh! And the Digivice we had helped too!

[ffff I guess they are. and after that huge tl;dr I realized I forgot the most important part.]

It's not bad to risk yourself to help others. [but it was still dangerous, kid.]

What does it do?

...actually, it kind of is bad. Trust me. [pff I know man]

It mostly helped the Digimon evolve to a champion level. But we also needed it in order to travel to the Digital World to begin with. But it's also got normal stuff like clocks and tracking devices and radar and stuff. We've also used it to scare off bad guys.
