I still don't get it. I really really don't. How is it that she was from the future, then she left, and now she's back to being the right age again? It's like something from a weird anime or something, totally freaky. And she doesn't remember anything from her first time here, but everybody else remembers her being here. What's up with that? Did these Malnosso guys brainwash her and shrink her, or was the future-Hikari that was here a complete fake or what?

Man why can't they just give straight answers?!

Oh well. She's here at least; I mean that's what I wanted right? I just need to keep a close eye on her. I know she's gotten bigger and she can take care of herself but still. Who knows. She's smart enough not to get into trouble though, I'll give her that. We'll be okay.

[As per usual, Taichi's up in his usual tree in the forest, lounging around lazily. Today however he's got his Digivice he found in one of the shops and he's toying with it, despite the fact that it doesn't actually work here.]

Man, these experiments keep getting weirder and weirder. What's next? I'm just glad they only last a week though.

So hey, the barcodes on the back of our necks...I guess they're meant for tracking devices but what if they were actually used for prices? What kind of item do you guys think you'd be?

Hello, Taichi. Feeling better?

That's an interesting question, though I'm not certain what you mean.

Hey, Raine! I'm definitely better, what about you?

Well I mean, in my world we have items in stores and in order to buy them, they have to go through a scanner. The scanner reads the barcode on the item and tells the scanner what the item is and how much it's worth, see?

[SON, IS THAT THING PRIVATE OR CAN ANYONE SEE IT. IT JUST SAYS FILTERED FROM HIKARI ON THAT THERE LJ-CUT]

I'm already a machine... many would see that as an item.

[EVERYBODY BUT HIKARI CAN SEE IT MOM, SORRY FOR NOT CLARIFYING]

Yeah maybe. Most people here don't see you as a machine though remember?

Sure. Stuffed animals have feelings too, just like machines, just like people.

No, we don't. It seems almost like an unnecessary step. Or an extra one, I suppose, that must have been put in for a reason.

Back in your tree again?

What kind of animal do you think, Taichi-san?

Maybe it's just separate.

Aegis was here, but she was never missing.

I think it's just because Odaiba's so big that we need a lot of money so we have to pay for everything and to keep track of everything, they need barcodes on stuff.

Yup! I'm thinking about just making a treehouse up here.
