Thirty-Fourth Flame-[voice]

[At first, there's the sound of a lot of shuffling like someone trying to grab the journal but they can't quite pick it up. After a bit of struggling, there's a loud thump of the sound of something hitting the floor with said-journal. There's a bit of grumbling, but not much.

And though the words are clearly angry, the voice that's speaking them is so high-pitched that it's probably just laughable.]

This isn't what I had in mind when I said I missed seeing the monsters!

Well it doesn't help that Koushiro's a boy genius. But yeah, probably not a bad idea.

Is there anything that does make sense where you come from?

...I'm good at soccer and Yamato's a good cook? That makes sense still. Otherwise no, probably not. The Digital World's too confusing to explain when people haven't been, but it's still pretty cool.

Well, I suppose that makes sense. [A pause.] Soccer, huh? I don't think I ever got to learn that here.

I bet Daisuke and I could teach you if you wanted to learn. Last summer I was starting to teach a bunch of people, and it was actually really fun! If you wanted to, I mean. Which you should.

I can definitely try... once you get back to your original body.

Daisuke does, definitely. But that's because Chibimon's the baby form of his Digimon.

The Digimon can evolve into different stages of power based on their strength. There's like...five or six different forms? Maybe seven. I don't know.

I've never heard of anything like that before.

Your world doesn't have monsters or anything?

We have, but they don't exactly... evolve like that.

So how do they evolve? Or do they just...not?

They don't. They're like regular animals, except well... they attack.

...oh. Earth's like that too, it's just in the Digiworld where they can evolve and de-volve.

I better be glad I've never been there then.

It's not bad if you have a partner to help you out. It always just sounds worse than it is.

A partner, huh? Hey, everyone sounds worse than it is if you're not part of it.

That's what we call the Digimon that use our strength to help them fight. It's a partnership. But you've got a point.

How do they do that though? [Just honest curiosity here.]

Food helps, but we used to have these crests. The crests represented our biggest strengths basically, and whenever we showed those traits, the crest's power would help the Digimon grow. But we don't need the crests anymore. Power's inside us.

It's just a bond, that's all.
