[Even though he didn't really want to leave the house, Taichi knew he had to go find Yamato so after an entire morning and afternoon racing around the village looking for his best friend, Taichi ended up back at Chosen house. Disappointed in himself and fairly distraught that they really did take Yamato, Taichi doesn't even bother going inside and he just flops down into his hammock, curling up in it and half-closing his eyes just in case Yamato comes back. Anybody doing patrols or checking on the kids is free to find him still in that position even after several hours]

What about protecting the village?

... There is someone organizing protection for those who are unable to defend themselves in combat. Though for now, we're trying to get all the help we can for preparations.

I think you should seek out Caesar to find out what you can do on the protecting front, then, or maybe help out Madam Musette with her food deliveries. I'm sure your quick legs would be appreciated there.
