Twelfth Flame-[Accidental Voice/Action]

[Early in the morning, Taichi's wandered to the back of House #48 after searching the rest of town and his own tree house. He sits on the ground and more than anything, he sounds frustrated]

DAMN IT, NOT AGAIN!

[Yeah, guess who just discovered his little sister got sent back, again. Feel free to say anything]

[ooc: I've been posting with him so much, sorry]

Really...? So if I can get him to trust me, then I can learn how to control fire?
wise_maiden: (one more look at the ghost)

Yes, in the long run. There are limits, as with everything, but... would you like a small demonstration?

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I wanna see.
wise_maiden: (on comes the panic light)

All right. Here...

[She holds her free palm up, as the other is still holding that barely-touched sandwich that she might forget about, and then murmurs something barely audible -- a complement to the spirit Eferin, before a tiny ball of fire appears, floating just above her hand.]

[brb staring at Raine's hand in disbelief forever] Whoa! Way cool!

[She smiles at his expression] I find it very useful for when it's dark out. Though it's best for outdoor use, of course, unless you're just lighting a lantern, or a candle. That's a preciseness that practice will get you.

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's amazing! [still staring at the flame] And the fire spirit taught you how to do that?

That's right.

I take it that there aren't really any forms of magic in your world?

[Action]

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 10:05 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing we can do, but the Digimon have special attacks they can use. Agumon's are based around fire.

Ah, I see. No wonder it was the first to come to mind for you.

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah...he can breathe out these huge balls of fire and he'll throw them around in his bigger forms and everything.
wise_maiden: (there is something curious about this)

[Action]

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2009-05-25 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds impressive. Digimon... I wonder how many there are, and how many species have been recorded. They're just like monsters, correct?

[Action]

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 10:25 am (UTC)(link)
It totally was, but all of them had pretty impressive attacks. I'm not sure how many of them there are, but they're all either Data, Virus, or Vaccine type monsters. Most of them are nice, others...not so much. They're just like any other monster.

Data, Virus, Vaccine... those are interesting clarifications. Would you know the difference between them? As in, is there any particular trait that determines the group they belong to?

N-not... exactly, but the situation is complicated.

[identity profile] salvagedslayer.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
...Sure as hell didn't sound it. You okay?

[identity profile] zanarkand-kid.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorry to hear that, man.

Usually the virus type are evil and stuff but the data and vaccine Digimon are the good kind. Our allies were made up of data and vaccine Digimon.

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Really complicated? [WELL THAT'S MORE THAN HALF?]

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
...yeah, I'll be fine. I just realized somebody really important to me disappeared.

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah well, what can we do? The Malnosso have more power than we do here.
wise_maiden: (before i'm gonna make it leave)

Hmm.

What of your special partners? Were there any differences to them?

[ .action. ]

[identity profile] mystearical.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
We... Yulia City, where I grew up, is beneath the planet's outer crust. There are pillars-- Sephiroth trees --that hold the Outer Lands above us. Children aren't permitted to leave Yulia City without supervision, so I was limited to reading books on the Outer Lands to understand them.

[identity profile] goggle-syndrome.livejournal.com 2009-05-25 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the main difference was that they could evolve a lot further than most of the other Digimon with the help of our Digivices and crests.
wise_maiden: (always looking out)

Is that so? You haven't spoken of those before.

[Tai's also welcome to poke Raine's recent post, as Genis has just been Mallynapped. :(]
