Sometimes I wonder if it's a good idea knowing the future. Sure a lot of bad stuff happens but I already know that we're going to win. Daisuke gave me a sum-up. But now Izzy's here too and he's older too. What gives? Oh well, at least I know I'm still the leader!

And at least I don't have to worry if I get into a good high school or not. And I definitely don't have to worry about looking stupid in the school uniform haha. I wonder if future-me has a girlfriend...I bet I get one before Yamato! Girls love athletes instead of stupid harmonicas.

Seeing Izzy here makes me sort of miss being home though. It's an improvement of the Digital World, that's for sure. Here we don't have to worry about making camp and where our next meal's coming from and running away from giant monsters. But...let's see. If it's May already, and I was at camp in August, and I got here right as I was leaving the Digital World in Earth's time frame of August, then that means I've been away from home for ten months? No wait, that's not right. Man this whole time thing's completely out of whack, why can't time just be normal?!

Maybe my friends don't even notice I'm gone. The other Chosen will, they have to, but my school friends and the soccer club, I wonder if they do. And Mom and Dad, they've got to still be worried about me and 'Kari especially since we didn't come home from the Digital World.

But I guess there's really no need to worry about it...I'm sure the others are doing just fine. Izzy said they were...they're capable of taking care of themselves. Maybe the Malnosso will bring everybody else in. I hope not, because that would kind of suck, but then at least we'd be together and could work on getting out of here. Oh well. For now, I'll just enjoy the sun while it's around.

At least that's the same as home.

Hm? Not very much; we were checking the barrier and setting up new markers to monitor its position, since it had been some time since it was last checked. It doesn't seem to have moved at all recently; likely the last change in movement for it was when the desert area was revealed a few months ago.

Of course, there are other markers left to check, so we'll likely be taking more trips with the better weather...

There have been instances where it expanded, or was in the process of doing so. Luceti wasn't always the size it is now.

So it's possible it'll grow again? I didn't know that.

It's possible, but we do not know what will prompt such a change, especially since it's been some time since the last incident. All we can do now is take note of where it is and watch for any sign of something changing.

That's kind of cool though. Hopefully it'll change soon.

Heh. We'll just have to watch and see. It could be a gradual growth, or something massive, as when the desert was first discovered.

Maybe next time they'll reveal an ocean or something.

... My family was being chased. Eventually we made it onto a ship, and I fell into the water. It was winter, and the water was very cold.

Why were you being chased...? And you were pulled out weren't you? You didn't get separated right?

... Because I was a prodigy. The details are a bit complicated, but there was a place that was so desperate to get their hands on me that we were chased everywhere. I never understood what was going on at the time. I'm afraid I don't remember it all that well.

I can't really recall how I was pulled out of the water, either... but we weren't separated then.

It wasn't anything specific, really; I was just a very fast learner, and often picked up on things that most adults had trouble with. Anything having to do with math, logic, reasoning... it all came rather naturally. I was also very curious.
