[Even though Taichi has his own room and everything, he's been spending the last few days up in one of the trees in the forest keeping a watchful eye out, leaning back against the branches and looking down]

Daisuke...and Takeru too. They're both gone now.

I can't believe I let them disappear.

What's today?

It's Tuesday.

Oh. Then maybe three days.

Ah, I see. That explains your absence yesterday.

Just waiting like this, hm?

Not waiting; planning.

[She nods] That's more productive than waiting.

It is, but I'm not coming up with anything yet.

I know the feeling. Wanting to get something accomplished and finding you lack a sufficient means to do so is something that happens quite often.

Of course, you never give up on it.

I can't give up. I'm not letting it be that easy.

Exactly.

It's frustrating, that's all.

... It is. Especially when you've been here for a long while.

...it's been a long time since I've been home.

... You weren't home when you were brought here, correct?

Yeah. We were home for a little bit to find my sister, only we didn't know we were looking for her at the time so we were just there but then we went back to the Digital World for a long time. We were on the way back to Earth when I ended up here.

I see. Would you like to talk about it? I'm always interested in hearing about other worlds and travels.

Well what do you want to hear about?

Whatever you're comfortable in speaking about, I suppose. What happened the first time you were drawn into that other world?

[leans back against the tree trunk and hums a bit, thinking of how to describe it] Hmm...well, when the whole thing started we were at camp, we being me and six of my friends. At the time the world was going completely out of whack, snow in places it was warm and droughts and stuff. Our camp got hit with this huge snowstorm and right after that we were pulled from our world to the Digital World. All of us were separated for a little bit but when I woke up, there was a thing sitting on me. A Digimon. His name's Koromon and after that, I found out all of the others had Digimon too and they were our partners. We got chased by all kinds of huge monsters but our Digimon, they evolved into bigger monsters too and fought them off! It was totally awesome...

[She nods as he speaks. There's something in him that reminds her a bit of Lloyd.]

Weather changes... hmm.

So the Digimon would grow and change, according to your need of them?

[gonna continue talking then because he likes it when people ask and believe him about it]

We found out later it was bigger more dangerous Digimon that were messing with the weather, but not everybody could see them at first. Once Vamdemon showed up on Earth though everybody could see them.

Our Digimon's job was to protect us, so they'd evolve when we needed their help. The first time Agumon evolved into Greymon, I was about to be crushed to death! It was way cool because he got huge. He's more or less a Dinosaur-looking Digimon.

[She keeps nodding as he speaks, listening. It seems like there's far more to the story than he's telling, but she's fine with just learning the basics for now.]

I see...

It certainly sounds as if he has a lot of different forms... which form was he in most commonly? It must be complicated to refer to them if they don't go by one singular name all the time.

Was the problem able to be resolved...?

[Sorry Raine, he's holding out on you :| Eventually he might tell the whole story though...]

Yeah, he was usually in his rookie form, Agumon. Sometimes after big battles he'd go back to being Koromon until he got his energy up again but usually he was Agumon. All of our Digimon usually stayed as rookies except for Tailmon, she was a champion.

Eventually we managed to wipe out the enemies and save both worlds, so I guess yeah, it was all fixed.

[She'll just have to try to build more trust with him, that's all.]

Oh? What are the names of the other stages, then?

Saving two worlds is quite a task. You and your friends must have experienced quite a lot, during your journey.

It went from Botamon to Koromon to Agumon to Greymon to MetalGreymon and finally to WarGreymon. He gets more powerful and bigger as he evolves.

...but yeah. We did. It was a long journey that none of us were expecting. We were just kids at a camp, we didn't expect to have to save the world, or worlds.
