[Don't mind him, he just sounds a liiittle panicky and he's mumbling to himself at first.]

First Takuya, then Koichi, then Guilmon and Takato on the same day and then Kari disappeared and I thought they sent her home but she's here but--[Here his voice gets a little louder, and he's addressing the public.]

You say that as if you aren't one yourself. [She rests a hand on Hikari's forehead, then starts checking her over again.]

Well I'm almost thirteen, Raine. [He's watching very carefully to make sure.]

That doesn't have anything to do with it, and you know it.

[Hikari's still asleep, but one of her hands moves on it's own, which catches Raine's attention.] ... Hm?

Being a teenager isn't being a kid. [It's a feeble argument, at best. But he spots that movement as soon as Raine does and he perks up.] Kari? You awake?

You still have a few more months, and you only have youth once. [... In a normal world that isn't Luceti anyway.]

Why don't you try taking her hand, Taichi?

Well still...[Sulking a little because what is this. However, he does take her advice and grabs onto Hikari's hand, waiting to see if she'll respond.] Wonder if she remembers what happened.

Hm... something does seem different, now. I wonder if she really is coming out of it. She's not as cold as she was... and her breathing's changed now, too.

... We'll know for sure when she wakes up fully. [If.] Could you fetch a cloth for me...? And some warm water.

She will! This is more than she's done in days. [But he nods and immediately gets up, leaving to fetch a bowl of water and a small towel, running back into the room and sloshing a little water on the floor.] Here.

We can't rush her. [She reaches down to dip the cloth in the water.] But this is definitely a good sign.

Well I don't want to rush her, I just want her to wake up. [Same thing, Taichi.] But it's more than before.

One step at a time, Taichi. If she's really been in a deep sleep, the actual waking up process could take a little longer than we'd expect.

[Even though Hikari's still asleep, she seems to be breathing in rather deeply, her lips parting slightly.]

Why would it take longer though? [He's just busy watching her like a hawk, don't mind him.]

Because she needs the time to adjust from one state to another. [She gently pats the girl's forehead with the towel.]

I guess that makes sense. Somehow. [He's just going to smooth out Hikari's hair and watch.] But it won't be long.

... You're upset, Taichi. It's okay. Just be prepared to greet her with that smile of yours when she wakes.

[He makes a bit of a face, but he knows Raine's right so he's not going to argue it.] I will...when she wakes up. Soon.

Take her hand again. It might help, just her knowing you're right there.

Okay...[He totally trusts you on this, Raine, so he does as she says and holds onto Hikari's hand, still staring rather intently at her face.]

[And Raine will go quiet for a bit, continuing what she's doing.

It'll take a few minutes longer, but eventually Hikari yawns a little, and moves her free hand to rub at her eyes. And then realizes her other hand is being held.

She blinks a few times.] ... huh?

[Even if it's not a lot of a reaction, it's enough for him.] Kari, you're awake! How are you feeling? Are you okay?

I'm ... okay? I think. How did I get here?
