[Taichi's running around Luceti dressed in new winter clothes he received from Raine earlier that day and currently he's going to try and find her to thank her. He's bouncing more than usual and he's also munching on a cookie that tastes distinctly like lemons. Oh well.]

Finally! Happy birthday to me! Take that, Matt, now we're the same age again.

[In other words, Luceti, prepare for a human tornado of boy running around in the snow now that he actually can. He's wanted to run around since discovering Tear got kidnapped, so he's kind of just going. Feel free to bump into him.]

It really doesn't. John said that something "strange" happened, but he didn't really go into detail about it, either. But after that incident was when he began speaking to us on his own.

He hasn't always been here?

No. Well - he's been here, but he didn't officially become a 'traitor' to the Organization until ... well, earlier this year. And even then it took some time before he moved into the tunnels.

[She gets the cups down in the meantime, still waiting for that water to finish boiling.]

Has anybody asked why he became a traitor? Or is that something else he wouldn't even answer in the first place?

Basically, his interests and the general Malnosso's interests had... diverged paths. It's a little different than Jacob's situation.

For now John's interests and ours coincide. But we must keep in mind that this will not always be the case.

What do you mean? He can be a traitor to us too in the future?

It's difficult to explain. Honestly, I'm worried I'm just confusing you with all of these uncertainties. What we need to do is just concern ourselves with the present.

You simply have to keep in mind that there are always different perspectives. Even if most of them go unsaid.

Okay, but why do they go unsaid?

Lets look at it this way, Taichi. Do you ever share everything that's on your mind? Even as open as you are, you always hold something back, because you don't want to worry or upset others. Or it simply feels silly, or too personal to mention.
