[Taichi's running around Luceti dressed in new winter clothes he received from Raine earlier that day and currently he's going to try and find her to thank her. He's bouncing more than usual and he's also munching on a cookie that tastes distinctly like lemons. Oh well.]

Finally! Happy birthday to me! Take that, Matt, now we're the same age again.

[In other words, Luceti, prepare for a human tornado of boy running around in the snow now that he actually can. He's wanted to run around since discovering Tear got kidnapped, so he's kind of just going. Feel free to bump into him.]

[But we're ignoring that :|] Yeah it snowed in Japan in the winter, but we always had electricity and heaters to keep the apartments warm, and Mom and Dad made sure we had enough food and everything. So this is kind of like our first winter on our own.

He doesn't like school either, but I told him about you and Gelda, so it should be okay!

Hey, Raine? Do we get a Christmas vacation?

Not everyone here comes from a world with Christmas in it. But it's likely I'll have to give everyone the week off given the majority of those that do.

Not so much the break, just Christmas.

It seems like a popular holiday. [And there's the house now.] Would you like to come inside with me? We might still have some hot cocoa.

No, we don't. From my understanding, there was a certain reasoning behind why the holiday came into existence in your world. My world doesn't follow the same religious structure.

I don't really know either, I just know it's a big deal in other parts of the world, too. [Heads inside, though he's smart enough to knock the snow off his shoes outside and taking them off so he doesn't track snow/water through Raine's house.] Sounds good.

[Raine does the same for her boots as well, before leading him to the kitchen. She'll have to check on the fireplace, too, but that can wait. Besides, the house seems kind of empty.]

That doesn't surprise me, given how well known it seems to be.

Do the Malnosso celebrate Christmas?

Some of them probably do. [She gestures for him to sit down while she moves to get the cocoa ready.]

[Takes a seat and just watches Raine prepare the cocoa] So does that mean they'll give us a break and take another vacation too?

I don't know. Last month's "vacation" was unrelated to the Malnosso themselves, after all.

There wasn't an experiment last year, however, so that's something to consider.

Hmm, I guess that's true...did anything happen last year?

Everyone received at least one present, either useful or ... well, mocking in nature. Something else happened as well, but no one can remember what it was.

What do you mean nobody can remember? At all?

It just felt like we had been drugged asleep that whole time. It was exceedingly odd.

Well that doesn't make sense though.

It really doesn't. John said that something "strange" happened, but he didn't really go into detail about it, either. But after that incident was when he began speaking to us on his own.

He hasn't always been here?

No. Well - he's been here, but he didn't officially become a 'traitor' to the Organization until ... well, earlier this year. And even then it took some time before he moved into the tunnels.

[She gets the cups down in the meantime, still waiting for that water to finish boiling.]

Has anybody asked why he became a traitor? Or is that something else he wouldn't even answer in the first place?
