Auldrant seems almost like something from a fantasy book, in comparison... Singing people back to health. Never mind that gels are strange-- even I've noticed that. They're somewhat... ...Candy-like.

...[brb taking the gummy thingy and looking it over] Now what do these do?

That one restores health. They're... tiny candy-flavored medicines, I guess you would call them. That's an apple gel.

[puts it between his thumb and his index finger, squeezing it experimentally but not enough to ruin it] Weird...I wish our medicine was like that, that'd be way easier!

It's sort of supplementary, I suppose. Healers like myself tend to be the primary source of medicinal application in a battle, gels are more in the case a healer has been knocked out in battle or is winded from overuse of their artes... Still aside, we have medical doctors that also provide medical assistance. It's all a bit confusing.

But it's still effective right? [hands Tear the gummy again so he doesn't ruin it]

Apple gels are meant to restore-- in approximation, of course --30% of the user's health lost in battle. Lemon restores sixty, orange and pineapple restore one's ability to use high-level artes more...

Are those the only kinds? [brb being fascinating that it just disappears like that]

There are also melange gels, special gels, lottery gels... Specific and treat are shaped like little bottles.

That's a lot more. And anybody can use them? Just like that?

You have to buy them from shops or steal them from monsters-- some monsters or humanoid enemies drop them, as well. Apple and orange gels are considered safe for children, and while the others aren't unsafe, they are stronger both in flavor and potency. I've heard that children in villages and small towns eat lemon gels to test their courage.

At least the monsters in your world can be rewarding. I bet I could handle a lemon one.

Not in my world, the Digital World where we were. The monsters were really dangerous and we almost died a few times. [takes the lemon gel and looks it over, examining it before doing anything with it] If the flavor's more enhanced that means it's really sour right?

Digital World...? With just a group of children I can't imagine that was easy. You and your friends must be quite strong. I find them to be rather good, myself.

Yeah, the world the Digimon lived in. I...guess you can say we're strong, but we couldn't have fought alone. [looks at the lemon gel again for a second before shrugging and popping it into his mouth, immediately cringing but not spitting it out] Whoa.

...Digi...mon? Of course not. People are much stronger in numbers. They're a bit... ah. Intense?

Yeah, they're just a type of monster. [figures it's just easier than trying to explain about data and the Digimon's genetic make-up and everything] We were definitely a lot stronger as a team. Counting our Digimon partners, there were sixteen of us. [still rolling the gel around in his mouth to try and get over the intense flavor] A little, but it's not that terrible.

...I see. Sixteen... so there were eight of you? And your... monster friends. You can spit it out if you don't like it.

[he's tried explaining it to a few different people and he just quit after a while ^^;] Yup. It was me, my sister, and six of my friends from camp. Plus the Digimon. We were an awesome team. [but Tear he's trying to prove he's brave D:] No it's okay, I'm getting used to it...[attempts to chew on it instead of sucking]

I bet you were. All right.

[They really are. He'll just leave it to Koushiro to explain] But the Digimon had to stay in the Digital World and we had to go back home, so I haven't seen any of them in a really long time. Mostly because well, I got sent here instead. [But he's Tai, and he doesn't think in that sense. So after a bit he swallows it down and wrinkles his nose a little] That wasn't too bad; I've had to eat worse things. Thanks for letting me try though, Tear.
