It should be noted that time passes differently in the Digital World as compared to the real world - or, at least it did the first time we were sent there. So, it's entirely possible (and highly likely) that it moves differently here, as well. After all, considering it pulls people from different times...

The point being, you probably shouldn't worry too much about the passage of time, considering it will likely have been only minutes, hours, or days since your departure from the 'real' world.
