[Creepy buildings and awkward costumes aside, Taichi was actually kind of amazed at the changes Luceti had been going under. That is...until he woke up one morning and discovered his own change. No, no way, not happening.]

Man, I'm pretty sure I said I'd never wear one of these. [And so, villagers passing through the main part of town may see a small child with large hair walking awkwardly wearing a giant crab costume. Careful, he may pinch. He's either on his way to Raine's, or he's on his way to hide in the Brigade clubhouse. He's not entirely sure yet.]

Sounds like that's what's been happening to everybody. What, do they just expect us not to go outside anymore? Jeeze. Have you tried taking it off?

Yeah, several times. It just comes back!

You know what? Yeah, we could try. In fact, we could just start a fire and burn them.

[Kurt, you read his mind.] Let's do it. Got any matches?

No, but it doesn't take me long to fetch stuff.

[One BAMF later, he's gone in a puff of smoke. About twenty seconds passes before he's back, holding a book of matches.]

Now to get some firewood.

[bamfing]

Oh, that? Just teleporting. [Sometimes he sneaks into brigade meetings that way! Or leaves that way too.]

Just teleporting? I thought that ended a while ago. [You know, that whole crazy week everybody teleported everywhere.]

Uh, well, it's my special power. Nothing to do with the Malnosso or experiments... [Why do people keep thinking it does!]

Nah, man. We have some costumes to burn, remember?

Just checking. Let's get to it then! Haruki probably has one of those big trash cans around here somewhere. We can stuff them in there and light them outside.

Sounds like a plan.

[Fortunately his clothes are still under the costume, so he just starts taking it off. It's a tedious process, but it's all in the name of FREEDOM. So it's worth it.]

[And while Kurt's working on that, Taichi's busy trying to wriggle out of his crab costume, but it's kind of difficult. Stupid bulky crab. Eventually though he manages to get it off, still wearing his normal street clothes.]

Okay, we gotta work fast. You ready?

Let's do this.

[It doesn't take long to find one of those trash cans. Kurt quickly stuffs his inside.]

[And the crab costume follows] There. Let's get these lit. Where'd the matches go?

[bamfing]

Right here. [He produces the book of matches. But before that, he stuffs some paper on top and lights it. Burn baby burn.]

Now when Halloween comes, I can wear a good costume.

Yeah, but what do you consider a good costume? [Not that he's really paying attention to the answer...he just wants to see the costumes burn.]

Anything more subtle than that. [He's more or less doing the same.]

...well you could always dress as a guy who just outsmarted the Malnosso. [He's peering down into the trash can, pretty satisfied that they're starting to burn up pretty good now.]
